Why we are qualified for the job!
When choosing an accountant you want to know that not only are they friendly, helpful and knowledgeable professionals but that they are also suitably qualified to perform the tasks you engage them to do.
You may be surprised to learn that there is no legal protection over the term Accountant. Anyone can set up in business and call themselves an accountant even if they have no training, experience or regulation. To set your mind at peace, here are some of our accreditations to prove why Butlers are qualified to be your chosen accountants.
To be a firm of Chartered Accountants you need to be owned and operated by a majority of Qualified and Licenced Chartered Accountants. To qualify as a Chartered Accountant you must train for at least 3 years (whilst also in full time work) at a licensed firm of Chartered Accountants. Passing what are considered some of the hardest professional exams within 10 years of starting. Once you have passed all 14 exams (the equivalent of degree level) you then must complete 2 years work experience in a Chartered Firm before applying for a Practicing Certificate.
Once awarded your Practicing Certificate you can open your Chartered Firm. From there on you must ensure your firm (and you personally) meet the high standards of continued professional training, standards and regulation execution.
Being a Chartered Firm is one of the highest regarded memberships of Accountancy Bodies in the World!
To be an ICAEW Authorised training provider the Directors of the firm must prove they meet all standards in respect of maintaining their own continued professional training. Application is then made to ICAEW to demonstrate how trainees working in the firm would be properly supported, mentored and trained in order to qualify as Chartered Accountants.
Xero was new to the market in 2011 and was one of the first Cloud based softwares. Butlers started using Xero in 2011 and in 2017 took our entire team to Milton Keynes to sit the assessment for Certified Advisor accreditation. Since 2017 every member of our team continues to reach this accreditation annually. To obtain Champion Partner status we ensure that our team participates in all new training and product releases as they happen. Making sure we can use Xero to the fullest for our clients.
